Children’s book week
I meant to post this at the beginning of the week but Milo was back in hospital last Wednesday and my foggy brain was still not quite there by Monday. His sleeping has become a flipping nightmare recently and we are all cream crackered.
But hurrah – it’s children’s book week and this year’s theme is Round the World. Milo’s nursery have been great and really encouraged all the children and parent’s to get involved. All this week they’ve had a display up in the entrance hall of flags from around the world painted by the kids and everyone has been encouraged to share where their families come from. We were also asked to bring in some of Milo’s favourite books.
Milo chose his big book version of “Slowly, Slowly, Slowly,” Said the Sloth, Milo Armadillo and The Little Red Train to the Rescue. I’m hoping that they’ll read them with him today. He is not the happiest of little boys at the moment and has just been moved downstairs at nursery and is really missing his usual room and carers so I hope it might cheer him up a little.
So what have you been doing to celebrate Children’s Book Week?
