A lovely day out

Last week Milo, his dad and I popped up to London for a day out. We visited Covent Garden’s Antique’s market. I’ve lived in London all my life and had no idea that there was an antique’s market on a Monday in Covent Garden – thanks to Patchwork Harmony and her blog post that pointed us there.

We had a brilliant time and bought my grandma a beautiful brooch for her birthday from a very helpful lady who told us that it was circa 1900-1920’s. Very sparkly and pretty and looked lovely  pinned to her blouse.

Of course we made sure we had a quick visit to a bookshop before heading home.

I wish I’d taken a photo of the brooch. The next time I see my grandma wearing it I’ll get one. It really was very pretty and suited her so well. Looking forward to another day out like that soon!
