Investing in parents
One other thing that the Michael Rosen programme mentioned is a great company that give seminars in the workplace for parents about storytelling. I’d not heard of this before and really think it is a great idea (kind of wish I had thought of it myself!).
Ready to Learn is run by experienced teachers and some of the points they listed under their ‘company benefits’ section really resonated with me. From talking to other mums and dads who are working, aside from the idea that their seminars can promote a healthy work/life balance, Ready to Learn also suggest they can help with the anxiety and guilt caused by being at work and not at home withe their little ones. This seems like such a positive idea to me.
