Children’s authors dominate library borrowing

The figures for UK library borrowing from June 2007 – June 2008 have been released today and it is really great to see so many children’s authors in the top ten.

Dame Jacqueline Wilson was the second most borrowed author, JK Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was the most borrowed title, but also on the list was Francesca Simon, Daisy Meadows, Mick Inkpen, Janet and Allan Ahlberg and Ian Whybrow. I’m especially pleased to see two Booktime authors on the list with Ian Whybrow and Allan Ahlberg.
